Meet Maya Killtron, the dynamic force and multi-talent hailed as Canada's Queen of Boogie. Renowned for her vibrant style and refreshing approach to Modern Boogie and 80’s inspired funk, Maya has graced the pages of Noisey, Earmilk, and Huffington Post, captivating a global audience of devoted fans.

In 2019, Maya's breakout album, "Never Dance Alone," propelled her into the international Boogie scene. Anticipation reached a fever pitch with the release of her eagerly awaited sophomore album, "Persimmon," in 2022. The album's singles found homes in various editorial playlists, and the track "Out Of My Life" secured a spot in the top 100 of CBC's 2023 Searchlight competition.

Beyond her solo career, Maya is the go-to collaborator, contributing her songwriting prowess, producing skills, and arranging talents. Additionally, she serves as a touring violinist and vocalist for notable Canadian and international artists, including Juno winners The Arkells and Haviah Mighty. Not content with just her musical endeavors, Maya is the visionary behind Bowed Arts, a Quartet performance collective and school for strings committed to accessibility and equity.

Maya's 2023 kicked off with a bang as she headlined the Toronto Jazz Festival and Battle 416 at Yonge and Dundas Square. She took her electrifying performances overseas, gracing the stages of Tallinn Music Week in Estonia and Viva Sounds in Sweden. Now, with her sights set on the future, Maya is gearing up for the release of her highly anticipated album, "Toronja," promising another chapter in her illustrious musical journey.
